The Queen of UK Soul Returns!
The amazingly talented Queen of UK soul Beverley Knight is back with her highly anticipated 6th studio album entitled 100%, which is due for release on September 14th.
The 5 time MOBO winner has created a fine body of work and has joined forces with some of the superb beat makers in the game. Her first release off of the album is titled Every Step which was produced and co-written by heavy hitters Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The powerfully produced joint is exclusively available for download from July 6th at www.beverlyknight.com
MBE awarded Knight has shifted her gears and taken her new project in a different sounding direction, she commented ‘This new album has an altogether more contemporary feel. I worked with some fantastic people, legends even, and it has inspired me to make what I consider to be some of the best music of my career. It’s certainly the most fun I’ve ever had making a record’.
Partnering with iconic legend Chaka Khan for a soulful duet, the album also see’s Knight work with award winning writers and producers such as Amanda Ghost (Beyonce/Shakira), Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams) Jam & Lewis (Janet Jackson/Usher/Mariah Carey), Jimmy Hogarth (Duffy/Adele), UK duo The Rural and Bacon & Quarmby (Sugababes).
September is set to be a huge month for the singer/songwriter. As well as releasing her musical genius, Knight will initially launch her cosmetics range K by Beverly Knight at high end stores Selfridges and John Lewis. Speaking on her new venture she said ‘Like the majority of black and dark skinned women I found there wasn’t any range that provided the full range of colours I needed. I was so excited to be offered a chance to work on my own range of products’.
With November tour dates in the works, a new sounding album released via the Hurricane Records imprint and a cosmetics range, the fourth quarter is set to be 100% Knight’s!

Michael Jackson was a great man who did his best to inspire people all over the world. He made people feel joy by his music and was all the time ready to help those who were lucky enough to come close to him. Who was more popular in his life time than Michael Jackson? No one. H e was the most popular man to walk on earth since after Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammed. It will take more than half a century for another legend like him to walk on the planet again. Rest in Peace Michael Jackson.
