1) KEEPING US GUESSING
Celebrities are experts when it comes to keeping us common folk guessing and Mariah Carey is no exception. MiMi recently appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show where she strongly denied that she is pregnant. Ellen slyly tried to get Mariah to sip on a glass of champagne by saying ‘Let's just toast with Champagne’ but MC declined and said ‘It's just fattening...This is peer pressure!’ DeGeneres replied ‘You're pregnant!’. Smiling Mariah insisted ‘No, no, no. We will let you know when we're going to have a family. It's too early for me; I only drink after 3 p.m’. In other Mrs Cannon news, the record breaking singer may be joining Jim Jones by turning her life story into a musical. HipHopCrunch is reporting that MC is in talks about the possible project and quoted a source as saying ‘A huge, huge Broadway producer is interested in Mariah’s story and it’s in discussion. Who would turn down an opportunity like that? Mariah has a fascinating life’.
 

2) DATE SET
East Coast rapper and member of Wu Tang Clan, Raekwon will be releasing his fourth solo studio album in March. According to AllHipHop.com, the rapper confirmed the release date as March 2nd for the anticipated release of Cuban Linx 2. The site is also stating that a number of high profile producers have blessed the project with some serious beats. The likes of Dr. Dre, Pete Rock, DJ Scratch, Marley Marl and J. Dilla have been confirmed. Busta Rhymes and Travis Barker will also make a guest appearance. Never leaving his family out, members from the Wu will also add their touch – Ghostface Killah, Method Man, The GZA and Inspectah Deck and RZA will serve as executive producer.

3) SAY IT ISN’T SO!
Rumours are swirling the net that one of the music industry’s most infamous couples may be rekindling their love. Yes Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston could possibly be getting back together!! According to Bossip, the now divorced couple have received news from ‘sources’ that it may very well be true. The site reports that Houston’s people are vehemently denying the rumours and posted ‘The official word from Camp Houston sticks to the old line about the divorced couple remaining separate, but good friends whose primary interest is the well-being of their daughter’. In other Whitney news, the singer is allegedly being sued by her stepmother. Barbara Houston is claiming that her stepdaughter has kept a portion of the money that was left to her in John Houston’s will. This may get dirty!

4) ONE NIGHT WITH LUDA
Chris Bridges aka Ludacris, celebrated the release of his new album, Theatre of the Mind, at Highline Ballroom in NYC this week. As a surprise, he also brought out a slew of fellow hip-hoppers such as Jadakiss, Jim Jones, T-Pain, Juelz Santana, LL Cool J and former DTP member, Shawna. The Max Payne star performed an assortment of hits and crowd pleasers such as What’s Your Fantasy, Southern Hospitality; I’m So Hood, Phatty Girl, Move B!?&h and I Do It for Hip Hop. Theatre of the Mind was released this week.

5) I’VE GOT MY EYE ON YOU
Now, I don’t know what the likelihood of this is, but Dizzee Rascal has a desire to work with English rock band, Oasis. Dizzee said in an interview with BBC Radio 1 after Noel’s Jay Z comments ‘I don't think he hates hip-hop. Maybe he just felt a way about Jay-Z being at Glastonbury or hip-hop being at Glastonbury. He's into music. There must be some hip-hop over the years that he must've liked, or Liam. They're party animals, so somewhere they must've enjoyed some hip-hop track’. In a recent interview with MTV.co.uk, the MC said ‘Yeah I'd still like to work with Noel. That's another thing to me like working with the Arctic Monkeys...Obviously they're [Oasis] older and they set their bar from earlier’. If it happens, it’ll be interesting!
