Last year’s X Factor winner Alexandra Burke may still be pinching herself. According to NowMagazine.co.uk, the UK songstress started work on her much anticipated solo debut last week in LA and previewed her material to her idol Beyonce. The Daily Records quoted Burke as saying ‘Oh my God. I just met Beyoncé again! And this time I didn’t cry. She listened to my songs. My heart is racing’.

1) WE APPROVE
Before being able to get her claws on Formula 1 Ace Lewis Hamilton, Nicole Scherzinger’s fellow band mates gave him the once over, along with a grilling, to see if he was good enough for the pop vixen. According to the UK’s NOW online site, Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt set out to see if Hamilton was good enough for their friend and fellow band mate. In an interview with the Daily Mirror Melody informed the publication ‘When we found out Lewis was a racing driver, we were like, “Hold on a minute, he'd better not be a playboy”, so we asked him all sorts. What were his intentions, if he was a nice guy, did he know how to treat her right, did he bring her flowers and pull out chairs on dates? We didn't mess about and gave him a tough time as we do with all new boyfriends. We are very protective of each other - especially when a new guy comes into the fold’.

1) NEW DOLL IN TOWN...?
It looks like the Pussycat Dolls are once again reshuffling their line up. According to MTO, Kelly Rowland may be heading the all girl group as current front-woman; Nicole Scherzinger will be leaving the successful pop group soon. An insider told the site ‘Nicole Scherzinger will be leaving the group soon and they're looking for a replacement ... Mathew really wants Kelly Rowland to get the role. They're still in talks, but it looks promising for Kelly’. So does this mean no Destiny’s Child reunion? No more solo efforts from Ms Kelly? – Questions, questions, questions!

1) INTRODUCING LAURA IZIBOR
21 year old Laura Izibor is an incredible Soul/R&B singer/songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. According to RWDmag.com, she has been tipped by Rolling Stone magazine as the next Alicia Keys, Angie Stone and Aretha Franklin. In reference to the comparisons, Izibor told the mag ‘It’s an unbelievable compliment...But I don’t take it much to heart, because I know I still have a long, long way to go. But for now it’s just very flattering’. She is signed to Atlantic US which is home to Estelle, Jaheim, James Blunt, Missy Elliott and many, many more!
