I’M BEGGING YOU
Being an international superstar isn’t enough for Kanye West. According to Bossip.com Mr. West is begging sports giant Nike to give him a chance to design his own sportswear range. This comes after Kanye designed exclusive footwear for the brand which retailed at $215 and sold out in the US. In an interview with Complex Magazine Kanye said ‘I’m going to keep coming up with ideas, but I do want to state in black and white that somebody needs to give me a f**king chance. Don’t just one-off me! If Nike gave me the opportunity to be in there creating - not that they don’t already have genius designers like Hiroshi (Fujiwara) - I’m not saying that I think I’m the best designer in the world, but what I’m saying is that I think I can become that. I want to be able to be mentioned in the same breath as the greats. I just want to be competitive’.

1) I’M JUST A REGULAR GUY
Unless you were residing under a rock somewhere then you would have heard T2’s smash hit Heartbroken riding the airwaves heavily last year. This year the musical talent is back with a new sound and outlook. In a recent interview with RWD the beat-maker disclosed that since his success he has been locked away taking care of his business and making sure that his music is tight. He said of his timeout from the scene ‘I also took time out to invent my own style of production, because I wanted to stand alone rather than be always tagged to bassline’. The mag also touched on his new found fame to which he responded ‘Being famous was very awkward because I’m a very regular person, I still do normal things like go out and about on my own and all of a sudden I’m just getting noticed left right and centre, but it’s ok because I received a lot of love from people through the whole journey. I don’t see myself as any form of celebrity I’m just the same regular guy’.

ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR
According to TheRunDown.tv, Warner Brother films are producing a film biopic about late singer Aaliyah. Allegedly Dreamgirls director Bill Condon will direct the film and Aaliyah’s close colleagues will be included in the project. Unknown actress, Keshia Chante has landed the lead role. An insider said of the actress ‘We are going to great extremities to make this movie perfect. We have Chante in extensive training studying, speaking with family members, watching personal footage and in choreography training with Aaliyah’s choreographer and dear friend Fatima Robinson. This movie will be seamless the same way it was for Selena fans who enjoyed Jennifer Lopez. I can promise Aaliyah fans that this movie will be ten notches higher’. The site has said that the film will delve deep into the late singer’s life and will even go as far as to explore the highly rumoured marriage between Aaliyah and R. Kelly.
