Last year’s X Factor winner Alexandra Burke may still be pinching herself. According to NowMagazine.co.uk, the UK songstress started work on her much anticipated solo debut last week in LA and previewed her material to her idol Beyonce. The Daily Records quoted Burke as saying ‘Oh my God. I just met Beyoncé again! And this time I didn’t cry. She listened to my songs. My heart is racing’.

I’M BEGGING YOU
Being an international superstar isn’t enough for Kanye West. According to Bossip.com Mr. West is begging sports giant Nike to give him a chance to design his own sportswear range. This comes after Kanye designed exclusive footwear for the brand which retailed at $215 and sold out in the US. In an interview with Complex Magazine Kanye said ‘I’m going to keep coming up with ideas, but I do want to state in black and white that somebody needs to give me a f**king chance. Don’t just one-off me! If Nike gave me the opportunity to be in there creating - not that they don’t already have genius designers like Hiroshi (Fujiwara) - I’m not saying that I think I’m the best designer in the world, but what I’m saying is that I think I can become that. I want to be able to be mentioned in the same breath as the greats. I just want to be competitive’.

1) NEW DOLL IN TOWN...?
It looks like the Pussycat Dolls are once again reshuffling their line up. According to MTO, Kelly Rowland may be heading the all girl group as current front-woman; Nicole Scherzinger will be leaving the successful pop group soon. An insider told the site ‘Nicole Scherzinger will be leaving the group soon and they're looking for a replacement ... Mathew really wants Kelly Rowland to get the role. They're still in talks, but it looks promising for Kelly’. So does this mean no Destiny’s Child reunion? No more solo efforts from Ms Kelly? – Questions, questions, questions!

1) I AM OVER IT
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should know that the lovely Alesha Dixon split from her husband, MC Harvey, after finding out that he had an affair with Girls Aloud reject, Javine Hylton. In a recent internet article with UK celebrity gossip magazine Now, the singer has spoken out about her feelings towards her ex-husband. She is quoted as saying ‘I have forgiven him and I’ve moved on, I don’t like being a victim – what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. That is my past and I am over it. You trust someone until they give you reason not to. It’s taken two years but I’m now in the best place in my life. My thirties is the beginning of a new chapter. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but it feels exciting. That is my past and I am over it’. Alesha’s second studio album The Alesha Show is available now.

2) KNOCK KNOCK
News is spreading like wild fire over the net regarding Prince’s current religious status. According to the NY Post, the Purple One told them that he goes door to door spreading his Jehovah’s Witness beliefs. He said of his door knocking ‘Sometimes people act surprised, but mostly they're totally cool about it’. He was also quoted as saying that his conversion into the religion is more of ‘a realization. It's like Morpheus and Neo in The Matrix’.
